Junk Run was founded in Auckland in 2005 with a clear focus on what we wanted to achieve – to not only serve our customers by removing unwanted items, but to turn these unwanted things to good use wherever possible. The social and environmental return on recovered materials is extremely important to Junk Run. We are Ākina certified for our commitment to sustainable business practices and have been past winners and finalists in the Sustainable Business Network Awards.

We charge based on volume taken up in our trucks (in cubic metres – m3). Each truck can take up to 12m3 of unwanted items. Half a truck is 6m3, a quarter truck is 3m3, etc.
